POST-SERVICE MAINTENANCE

First 48 Hours

  • Avoid getting your hair wet (allow the braids to settle)

  • Sleep with a satin bonnet or silk pillowcase
  • Some slight tension is normal within the first 24 hours
  • If you experience intense pain, contact us immediately

Daily Care

  • Moisturize your scalp with light oil 2-3 times a week
  • Use edge control on your baby hairs in the morning
  • Satin bonnet/silk pillowcase ALWAYS when sleeping
  • Moisturizing spray when hair feels dry
  • Do not pull or scratch your braids (use a cotton swab if itchy)

Regular Maintenance

  • We recommend a touch-up of the edges every 3-4 weeks

  • Book professional removal – do not attempt to remove them yourself

IMPORTANT DETAILS

How long do braids last?
Knotless/Boho/Stitch: 4-6 weeks with proper care. Some people extend to 8 weeks, but we recommend removal at 6 weeks for hair health.

Do I need to bring hair?
No! It's included in the price. We use premium quality hair. If you prefer a specific brand, you can bring it (we will adjust the service price).

How much hair do I need to bring if I want to bring my own?
Knotless: 5-8 packs depending on length
Boho: 6-10 packs + 2-3 packs of curly hair
Consult us before purchasing to avoid waste.

Do braids damage hair?
Not when done correctly. The knotless technique is especially gentle. Problems happen when: too tight, kept in too long, or removed incorrectly. That's why we always recommend professional removal.

Can I wash my hair with braids?
Yes! We recommend washing every 1-2 weeks. Use diluted shampoo, focus on the scalp, rinse well. Dry completely (mousse + blow dryer or air dry during the day). Never sleep with wet braids.

What about swimming/gym/showering?
All allowed! But: protect in the pool (swim cap), rinse after swimming (chlorine/salt), dry thoroughly after the gym. Normal showering is fine - just dry afterward.

Can I wear a ponytail/bun?
Yes, but don't pull too tight. Vary the position (not always in the same spot). Give your scalp a break between tied-up styles.

How much does it cost to redo the edges?
€30-50 depending on the work required. We recommend every 3-4 weeks if you want to keep them always impeccable.

Cancellation Policy?
24 hours notice required. €50 deposit non-refundable but deductible from the service. Free rescheduling with 24h notice.

Can I bring a companion?
Yes, but space is limited. Maximum 1 person. Small children only if well-behaved (it's many hours).

MAINTENANCE AFTER SERVICE

After the Service

How long does each service last?
Gel: 2-3 weeks | BIAB: 3-4 weeks | Acrylic: 3-4 weeks until refill | Pedicure: 3-4 weeks

Does gel/acrylic damage nails?
Not when applied and removed correctly. Damage occurs when: removed incorrectly at home, kept on too long without maintenance, or nails were already weak. Always remove professionally.

Can I go to the gym/swim?
Yes! But: wear gloves at the gym if lifting weights, rinse well after swimming (chlorine weakens), dry completely. Acrylic is more resistant than gel for intense activities.

Why is the gel lifting?
Common causes: too much water/humidity, oil-based products on hands, didn't follow aftercare for the first 24h, naturally oily nails (inadequate prep), overgrown (needs maintenance).

Can I change the colour at maintenance?
Yes! Maintenance is the perfect opportunity to change colour, try different nail art, or slightly change the shape.

How much does nail art cost?
€5-20 depending on complexity. Simple line/French: €5. Hand-painted florals: €15-20. Stones/details: +€5. We discuss the price before starting.

I have very short/bitten nails. Can you do anything?
Yes! BIAB or short acrylic helps create a base for growth. Many clients start with bitten nails and in 2-3 months have beautiful nails. It's a process, but it works.

What shape do you recommend for small hands?
Oval or almond visually lengthen fingers. Avoid very wide square (shortens). Medium length is more flattering than very short or very long.

Can I bring an inspiration photo?
Please do! Pinterest, Instagram, any photo. It helps us understand exactly what you want. We'll tell you if it's feasible or suggest an adaptation.

Cancellation Policy?
24 hours notice. A deposit is not required for nails (only for full acrylic sets).

IMPORTANT DETAILS

How long do extensions last?
3-4 weeks until a fill. But some will shed naturally (normal). That's why fills every 3 weeks keep them consistently full.

Does applying extensions hurt?
Zero pain. Most clients fall asleep. If you feel discomfort during, say so immediately – it should never hurt.

Do they damage natural lashes?
Not when applied correctly by a certified professional. We use techniques and products that protect your lashes. Problems happen when: removed incorrectly at home, poor quality glue, wrong technique, or kept on too long.

Can I wear mascara?
With extensions, you don't need to (that's the point!). If you really want to, only use water-based mascara on the tips. NEVER waterproof – it destroys the glue and pulls out the extensions.

What about makeup remover?
Always oil-free. Oil dissolves the glue. Use products specifically for lash extensions or oil-free micellar water.

Can I swim/shower/gym/sauna?
Yes! After the first 24 hours, everything is normal. They are waterproof. Just clean them well afterwards with a lash cleanser. Frequent sauna use may shorten their duration (heat affects the glue).

Why do some extensions fall out?
Normal! Your natural lashes have a growth cycle. When a natural lash falls out, the extension goes with it. We lose 2-5 natural lashes per day. That's why fills are needed.

When should I book a fill?
Ideal: 3 weeks. You still have 50-60% of extensions = perfect fill. If you wait more than 4 weeks, it's better to get a new set (it's cheaper than a mega-fill).

Can I remove them at home?
NO! Seriously, don't try. You'll pull out your natural lashes. We only charge €15 for safe professional removal. It's worth every penny compared to months of recovering your lashes.

Lash Lift vs Extensions - which to choose?
Lift if: you want low maintenance, have decent natural lashes, a minimalist look, gym/travel lifestyle
Extensions if: you want volume/length you don't have naturally, love glam, don't mind maintenance

How often can I get a Lash Lift?
Every 6-8 weeks at a minimum. Not more frequently – it can cause damage. Allow them to grow out completely before repeating.

I have sensitive eyes/allergies. Can I get them?
A patch test 48 hours beforehand is recommended. We test a small area. If there's no reaction, it's safe. If you have known glue allergies, mention it beforehand – we have sensitive options.

What if I cry with extensions?
You can cry! Tears are water-based, they don't affect them. Just don't rub your eyes. Use a tissue to gently pat dry.

Why is one eyelid red/swollen?
If during application: it might be tape too close. We'll adjust it. If afterwards: allergy (rare but possible), infection (didn't clean properly), or rubbed too much. Contact us.

Can I get extensions if I wear contact lenses?
Yes! But: take out your lenses during application. Bring glasses for leaving. You can put your lenses back in a few hours later.

Cancellation Policy?
24 hours notice required. Missed fills without notice = lose your regular slot (highly sought after). Deposit non-refundable for new clients.
